Website software upgrades to continue
R. Strother Scott on Monday November 14, 2011 12:01PM
Having successfully tested the next Zope upgrade, we plan to install it on the web site over the next few days. We do expect that it will cause some breakage which we will fix as they arise.
Please let Strother know if you run across any errors.
When this last upgade is installed, we will have our web software entirely up to date.
Annual Meeting On-line Registration issues
Jonathan T Moody on Friday November 4, 2011 05:16PM
We have been having trouble with online registration - and finally - sort of - have it working again.
- Some people have been able to register for CCV and pay this afternoon.
- Others have registered - selected dinners to buy - but they don't show up on the Payment Page- and they get an error when they pay - because they are paying for nothing.
- Please register if you plan on coming. If necessary - just don't add the dinners to buy - but please put a note in the Comment Box that you will be paying for X number of dinners at the door.
- If all else fails - simply email Jon Moody that you want a reservation.

We are upgrading our site software but in the meantime many of the website features are not working - like
- On Line Registration
- Event Pages
We are aware of the issues and hopefully will get the important parts working soon.
FBYC Website again accepting on-line Registrations
R. Strother Scott on Monday October 10, 2011 06:09PM
We are trying to upgrade our website software, and in the process we killed our on-line registrations. Now, after about a 24 hour outage, they are now working again. Please feel free once again to register for the 30th Chesapeake Bay Laser Masters Championship or the Wilton Creek Cruise, both being held this coming weekend
Upgrade Completed on News Web pages
R. Strother Scott on Monday July 18, 2011 02:38PM
We have recently upgraded the way news is viewed and posted on www.fbyc.net. The new technology eliminates the need for the news poster to be familiar with html, plus it includes new search capability, and the requisite “Like” and “Tweet” links for Facebook and Twitter.
The downside of the upgrade is it resides on a different server, and requires a different set of login credentials. On the "posting of news articles" part of the web site the www is replaced by new so the site is http://new.fbyc.net/news/
And you must login to the new server in order to post a news article. Most of you are familiar with logging in to the current site, and on the red navigation bar you will see your name in the top left corner, and links to Members, Board, Event Mgr or whatever on the top right.
