RACING AREA The race area will be in the mouth of the Piankatank River. The courses to be sailed will be described in the Sailing Instructions. At a minimum, a windward-leeward course will be included.

LAUNCHING An electric hoist is available for launching on the Jackson Creek side of FBYC. Competitors are advised to provide a bridle. There is a double concrete ramp on the Fishing Bay side. Hoses for wash down are located near the ramp, hoist, and between the rows of trailer parked boats.

SCORING The low point system of RRS Appendix A will be used. All races will be scored (this is a change to Appendix A2). Five races are scheduled, of which one must be completed to constitute a regatta.

PROTEST AND APPEALS Protest forms will be available at the office notice

PRIZES Prizes will be awarded to the skipper and crew of the top five boats in the Championship Division and to the top three boats in the Challenger Division. Challenger Division prizes will be awarded provided there are at least 25 boats registered for the regatta. In addition, the top scoring Capitol District participant will be awarded the Capitol District Championship.

TOWING Boats may be towed to and from the race area only if towing is made available to all participants. Otherwise, a boat accepting a tow without consent of the Race Committee shall be disqualified without a hearing. This changes RRS 63.1. Exceptions to this rule may be made by the Race Committee in extenuating circumstances, i.e. breakdown, illness, or other factors that may be appropriate. Protests under this rule may be made only by the Protest Committee or Race Committee. This changes RRS 60.1(a).
